Tatiana Torres has been interested and involved in art since she was a small girl, she grows in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, however spends her vacations at her uncle's farm, where her senses are exacerbated capturing the beauty of the nature, the vibration of colors, and the magic in the simple things of life. Her interest in nature, culture and literature have always influenced her creations.
Tatiana studied graphic design at Unitec, Bogotá, Colombia, specializing in illustration. She also has a degree from the University of Tolima, in the Spanish language. In Ibagué, Colombia, Tatiana was a highly respected art teacher, reaching the students from pre-school to higher grade, sharing the joys of artistic expression with children and young people. In 2008, she played a leading role in the attendance and participation of students in the youth art contest organized by Unilever. Tatiana's illustrations have found their way into many Colombian books and publications, from children's books to books about social programs, gender equality and good family treatment.
Mrs. Torres’s art philosophy is to share Colombian culture, nature and literature in her illustrations, using bright colours, whimsical characters and a theme that combines a collage of images. Most of her work is drawn first in pencil, overdrawn in black ink and then coloured with either vibrant water colours or coloured pencils.
In her illustrations, Tatiana would like her art to create awareness in the viewer of the beauty of literature, nature and the Colombian culture.
Tatiana currently resides in Vancouver, Canada with her husband and son.

Tatiana Torres se ha interesado e involucrado en el arte desde que era una niña pequeña, crece en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia, sin embargo pasa sus vacaciones en la finca de su tio, donde sus sentidos se exacerban captando a su paso la belleza de la naturaleza, la vibracion de los colores, y la magia en las cosas simples de la vida. Su interés por la naturaleza, la cultura y la literatura siempre han influido en sus creaciones.
Tatiana estudió diseño gráfico en Unitec, Bogotá, Colombia, especializada en ilustración. Ella también tiene un título de la Universidad del Tolima, en Lengua Castellana. En Ibagué, Colombia, Tatiana fue profesora de arte muy respetada, llegó a los estudiantes desde el preescolar hasta grado superiores compartiendo a ninos y jovenes las alegrías de la expresión artística. En 2008, ella jugó un papel principal en la asistencia y participación de estudiantes en el concurso de arte juvenil organizado por Unilever. Las ilustraciones de Tatiana se han abierto camino en muchos libros y publicaciones colombianas, desde cartillas infantiles a libros con respecto a programas sociales, la igualdad de género y el buen trato familiar.
La filosofía del arte de la ilustradora Tatiana Torres es compartir la cultura colombiana, la naturaleza y la literatura en sus ilustraciones, el uso de colores brillantes, caprichosos personajes y un tema que combina un collage de imágenes. La mayor parte de su trabajo se dibuja por primera vez en lápiz, descubierto en tinta negro y de color, ya sea con acuarelas o lápices de colores vibrantes.
En sus ilustraciones, Tatiana pretende con su arte recrear y crear conciencia en el espectador de la belleza de la literatura, la naturaleza y la cultura colombiana.
Tatiana actualmente reside en Vancouver, Canadá, con su marido y su hijo.
